Does anyone have any secrets to keeping palm trees alive in the northeast? I love the way they look in my living room, and I wish that I could stop having to replace the same plant in the same spot every 4 to 6 months. Keep in mind that the last 2 months of their tenure in my home they look more like a scarecrow than a vibrant living piece of foliage.
I can do wonders with aloe plants, money trees (no, not trees that grow money, but the plants that have an intertwined base and grow long oval leaves that come 6 leaves on a stem) but for some reason palm trees or what I believe are Majestic Palms are what I call 'deadman walking.'
FYI, another Palm tree is about to bite the dust, it is certainly on its last legs.
