I have owned and used a huge assortment of PDA's ranging from the HP ipaq which was like carrying a VCR on my hip to the palm treo 700 which had a great functionality but constantly froze up, but in all fairness that could probably be attributed to windows mobile more than anything else, I finally swore off touch screen phones because of all the freezing and the accidental 411 calls resulting from the button on the home screen and the phone in my cargo pants.
After much trepidation about moving to a blackberry because they were so many of them out there and I wanted to have a cooler device I finally bit the bullet and got a blackberry pearl 8110. And I absolutely loved it, I finally saw what all the people were talking about, I saw the proverbial forest through the trees be could not stop ranting and raving about how great a device that blackberry was and still think so to this day.
That being said I purchased the iPhone 3g a couple of months ago and I don't know how I managed to live this long without this device. I absolutely love the device, the apps, the functionality, the interface, animation, bright clear screen and many other things that I could on about for days, I could complain abut the copy and paste feature like many other whiners, and u could complain about the lack of a keyboard, but then again I am writing this post from an iPhone and have no, complaints, be sure to alert me to all my spelling mistakes :-).
I finally decided to go with the iPhone once I learned that I was eligible for an upgrade and I saw the commercial about the iPhone apps and learned that the iPhone had an app that utilized the accelerometer to turn he phone into a level, now I own real levels and don't need to use my phone in a heavy construction zone, but that app was my Tipping Point as ridiculous as it may sound, it is true nonetheless.
In terms of mobile advertising and other technological advancements that change the way we live our lives, the iPhone is TRULY a game-changer.
